Preparation of Whitening Cream Combining Modified Yurong Powder with Niacinamide:Literature Review

Abstract

The review artitle shows that the history of traditional Chinese formula Yurong San and its formulation theory.It also shows the application prospects of Modified Yurong san compounding Nicotinamide in whitening cream manufacturing.As TCM classics whitening formula, Yurong san can treat facial pigmentation by dispelling wind, promoting blood circulation,drying dampness and resolvindg toxin. The main active ingredients of it are PCT,Glabridin,CAE, and so on,Which can inhibit the activity of tyrosinase,inhibit the proliferation of melanocytes,  scavenge free radicals and reduce inflammation,and other multiple effects. Used as modern whitening ingredients,Nicotinamide can inhibit melanosome transport,repair the skin barrier,and so on,to lighten skin tone.Yurong san compounding Nicotinamide can synergistically form a multi-pathway synergistic whitening system,meanwhile,it can reduce single-ingredient and potential irritation.This paper also discusses the compounding whitening cream’s preparation,its safety,its stability and efficacy evaluation,to provide theoretical basis for development of innovative whitening cosmetics.
