Data Sharing Policy

Frontiers in Biotechnology and Genetics (FBG) supports research transparency, reproducibility, and responsible data management. Authors are encouraged to share research data, supporting materials, and relevant resources through trusted repositories whenever possible.

Data Availability Statement

Authors must include a Data Availability Statement in their manuscript, specifying whether research data are:

: Available in a public repository with a link or DOI.

: Available from the corresponding author upon reasonable request.

: Restricted due to ethical, legal, privacy, or confidentiality reasons.

: Not applicable because no new data were generated.

Authors’ Responsibilities

Authors must ensure that shared data are accurate, properly documented, ethically collected, and compliant with privacy and copyright requirements. Any third-party data must have appropriate permissions.

Confidential and Restricted Data

Where data cannot be openly shared, authors must provide a clear explanation and describe any available access conditions.

Research Integrity

FBG does not tolerate data fabrication, falsification, manipulation, or misleading data practices. Data-related concerns are handled according to the journal’s Publication Ethics Policy and COPE guidelines.

Open Science Commitment

FBG promotes responsible data sharing while respecting ethical, legal, and confidentiality requirements to improve research transparency and reliability.
